Andrew is an award-winning, CPD accredited TEDx speaker, author and podcaster. He is a leading voice on men’s mental health and delivers wider wellbeing talks on burnout and work-life balance. Andrew is a survivor of domestic abuse from a former marriage and his popular TEDx talk on domestic abuse being a people issue (rather than a gender issue) is a call to gender unity, as well as an exploration of domestic abuse.
A renowned mental health speaker, he draws on his lived experience of poor mental health following a long term, abusive marriage and the collapse of his business during the banking crisis. He tackles tough topics in his down-to-earth, respectful and relatable style, bringing fresh and thought-provoking insights, and practical take-away ideas for progress.
Andrew’s podcast, Men on Show, showcases the stories of everyday male heroes, promoting positive masculinity, and proving that heroes aren’t just limited to Disney films (and they generally don’t wear capes). So far on his podcast, he’s explored varied challenges facing men and boys today, including; addiction, PTSD, suicide, workplace bullying, gangs, domestic abuse, education, depression, sobriety and burnout.
Andrew is on a mission to create psychologically safe communities of people, where everyone feels that they belong and that it’s safe to share their ideas, to challenge and ask questions which no one else is asking. As a busy working parent, with 5 children (including 3 boys) he’s also a warzone reporter, bribery and blackmailing guru, peace negotiator, triage nurse, neurotic health and safety consultant and failing caretaker.
Andrew serves diverse organisations including: HSBC, Lloyds, Amazon, NFU Mutual, National Highways, ITN, Specsavers, The National House Building Council, London Ambulance Service etc.
