Charlie Martin is a racing driver and LGBTQ+ activist. Her mission is to make history as the first transgender driver to compete at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the oldest and most iconic endurance race in the World.

She has overcome huge adversity since transitioning mid way through her career, and uses her unique life experience as a trans woman in a male dominated sport to help organisations become more inclusive. Through a combination of story telling and tested methodology, Charlie teaches clients how to better support the LGBTQ+ community by increasing awareness and acceptance, with structured advice on how to improve allyship.

Her ability to deliver a clear message via a compelling narrative with tangible actions has helped multiple Fortune 500 companies to engage authentically with their employees and create inclusive working cultures.

Charlie is an ambassador for leading LGBTQ+ charities Stonewall, Mermaids, Racing Pride and Athlete Ally, helping improve acceptance for trans people in sport and beyond.

With 18 years racing experience across Europe and North America in single seaters, GT cars and prototypes, Charlie has come a long way despite having never raced a go-kart. Today she is a BMW Friend of the Brand, and finished 2nd in class at the support race for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June 2024, one step away from her ultimate goal.

The combination of her proven track record, unstoppable determination and desire to succeed have all set the stage for one of the most unique & compelling stories in modern motor racing.
