Dr. Marcia Goddard has a master’s degree in psychology, as well as a PhD in neuroscience, using fMRI to study brain-behaviour relationships behind neurodiversity. She left academia to bridge the gap between science and business, and subsequently studied the building blocks of sustainable high performance in large, global organisations and Formula 1 teams. Through her company Brain Matters she now helps her clients create high performance environments by focusing on team dynamics, culture, and leadership.
Brain Matters offers consulting on the application of neuroscience to enhance performance, as well as workshops, masterclasses, and training programs, certifications for psychological safety, coaching, and bespoke qualitative culture analyses.
In addition, Marcia is an award-winning science communicator and experienced keynote speaker, able to bridge the gap between science and business. She speaks on a range of topics, but always with a ‘brainy twist’: neuroscience is the foundation of everything she does. Her mission is to break stereotypes: science is everywhere, and it doesn’t have to be boring! Marcia makes complex scientific subject matter accessible and easily digestible, using relatable examples and a light-hearted approach, no matter the topic.
