Pete Mosley is the author of ‘A Leader’s Guide to working with Quiet People’ (2025), ‘A Quiet Person’s Guide’ (2023) and ‘The Art of Shouting Quietly’ (2016). His specialism is in working with introverts, quiet and shy people and those who lead and manage them, bringing them into alignment.

His work is informed by personal experience. He is a deep introvert (INFJ-T) and this, coupled with the destabilizing experience of several Adverse Childhood Experiences left him shy, anxious, and bewildered as a youngster.

Pete’s talks and workshops explore all the issues around the tensions created when quieter people and their more socially energetic colleagues and managers try to communicate and make effective decisions at work. His suggestions and strategies are easy to implement and make a world of difference to the way diverse teams work together.

He is an ICF PCC level coach working within the ethical guidelines of the International Coaching Federation. He is a lead tutor on Barefoot Coaching Ltd.’s flagship coach training programme.

Pete works with corporate clients, local authorities, universities, and not-for-profit organisations, his clients include Lego, DEFRA, Natural England, Lloyds Bank, NHS, plus a range of commercial and local government clients.

“Pete's talk during our DEIA Speaker Series was incredibly powerful for each individual at Foundry. It focused on helping people find meaningful, values-driven ways to share ideas and communicate what they do. We had huge numbers of employees tell us how much it resonated with them, and we look forward to implementing some of Pete's suggested actions to continue to build a culture that appreciates quietness, while giving everyone a voice.”
“We really appreciated Pete joining us here to get our new Power Hour sessions off to a brilliant start with his presentation ‘A Quiet Person's Guide (to life + work)’. It was a great insight into his specialism in working with introverts, quiet and shy people and the organisations that employ them. He opened our eyes and helped us explore why these are important issues in respect of diversity and inclusion.”
“Pete Mosley has taken being quiet beyond the binary of introvert-extrovert and brought it into the realm of thoughtful and purpose-led people. There are many reasons why we may show up as quieter at different times in our lives and Pete draws on fields as diverse as trauma, the nervous system and attachment theory to help shed light on the wide spectrum of quiet. As a trauma-informed coach working with thoughtful, passionate people, I will be recommending ‘A Quiet Person’s Guide' to my clients.”
"Pete facilitated an interesting and interactive session for our regional EMCC Group, which enabled us to think differently about how we can help quiet people perform to the best of their ability. Stimulating some great debate amongst our group and generously providing us with a range of creative tools, including visual ones which particularly work well with quiet people, we all came motivated to integrate these into our practice. I’d highly recommend Pete as a speaker, who also uses excellent visuals in his presentation and engages with his audience in a quiet but very confident way."
